NO TITLE – INSPIRED BY A GIRL THAT GOT AWAY – ORIGINAL POETRY BY RALPH FORNOLES – 9/11/05

TIME HEALS ALL WOUNDS

TIME HEALS ALL WOUNDS

I’ve never been so sure

of being unsure

In my life;

my wife

or soon to be

when i’m 30.

And I ask; what am I gonna do in

the interim?

If I were him

In a 3rd person kind of way…

I would tell him to stray away

from the things I’d want to say.

The love in me and he is Ray

intent with no pun.

Enjoy the spoils of being young,

staying fresh, having fun

As I try to figure out how I’m…

MY NAME – ORIGINAL POETRY INSPIRED BY MOM AND DAD – 9/23/09

YOU MADE ME GROW AS I WAS GROWING UP

YOU MADE ME GROW AS I WAS GROWING UP

This is to

you two;

I hope y’all know my drive,

is very much alive.

The blood of immigrants

one half of each of you, MY PARENTS

I GO HARD FOR YOU MOM!

I told you to stay calm-

I learned PATIENCE FROM YOU!

5 months; so much through my head.

You and Dad

were two of the reasons I’m not dead

your actions embedded

THAT IF YOU WORK THAT HARD, IT’S DESTINED.

I give my ALL to this writing, EVERY …

GOOD, BAD, ME – ORIGINAL POETRY WRITTEN BY RALPH FORNOLES – 4/18/09

ME ME

ME ME

They want Ralph’s introspective

and Pino wants his perspective.

What’s the objective?

of this everyday face-off?

Who’s going to show? Which dude

depending upon the ambience; the mood.

And it’s his fire

and his desire

anything and everything to acquire

an intangible higher

the alter ego, the Pino

takes over the D’Evils.

Then, when Ralph fills

the regrets and chills

to make him think otherwise.

Thinking rationally and wise

before I chastise

another Pino mishap

Am i both guys?

The good, the bad

It’s ugly,

the meee…

SOCIAL SABBATICAL – ORIGINAL POETRY WRITTEN BY RALPH P. FORNOLES – INSPIRED BY SOCCER 9/17/09

PELE

PELE

This summer,

The fast life

was betrothed to be my wife.

A turtle broke it off

Did you know

slow

is on?

Just like that SUMMERS gone

School – just like that

is right back

my  motivation now is to ATTACK

TO KICK THE SHIT OUT OF THESE GOALS.

I want to burn a hole

On this piece of paper

With this hear pen,

What’s gone into him? And when?!…

HALF OF WHAT I SAY IS MEANING LESS

HALF OF WHAT I SAY IS MEANING LESS

Writing poetry

is tricky.

Especially,

When the subject matter is the enemy

Emotionally,

it’s cathartic:

Statistically,

it’s abundant.

Aesthetically,

It’s pleasing, in the eye of me,

the beholder-

If she ever stole this book and held it for an hour,

she may think I’m a stalker

ready to kill her in the shower.

I spent hours,

dedicating better

half of what I’m saying is meaning less

but I say it just to reach you

enemy.…

PART OF SPEECH – SEPTEMBER 13, 2009 – INSPIRED BY WRITING

ALWAYS WRITING

ALWAYS WRITING

It was her, and him.

They liked the same thing

like a synonym.

They need repentance,

since that doesn’t make up a sentence….

He already chose his subject,

he was select and delicate,

to find the right predicate.

It don’t add up though – the math.

Now they were on to the next paragraph.

Out of control, it began to spin,

they weren’t on the same page,

to him, she now was an antonym.

While he thought life was a peach,

she was that missing part of speech.…
