PINO PER DIEM – THE ULTIMATE PURSUIT – WHAT A DIFFERENCE 365 DAYS MAKES. WRITTEN 6/10/10

ULTIMATE PURSUIT

ULTIMATE PURSUIT

What a difference 365 days makes.

Today, in an autobiographical-memory-kind-of-way, I celebrate my journey of the ultimate pursuit.  Of course, those that know me better than you average can attest how far I’ve come, how so far gone I am from my fumbling teenage years. From being torn to pieces by the hands of a high school freshman, to the days as a bachelor that seemed as though it would last forever, to the moments I was on the verge of committing to the only serious adult relationship …

PINO PER DIEM – BEST LESSON LEARNED IS TO UNLEARN – 6/9/10

OPEN MINDED V. CLOSE MINDED

WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?

WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?

At a wizened age of 29, I’ve learned some new tricks as an old dog.  I care to share some of those bones, unless you want to stay in the middle of the pack.

I’m not young enough to know everything.” – Oscar Wilde

During the formative (Baby thru toddler) stages of your own come up, you were “open” to everything.  You treated everything like a Google search: touching things, exploring – a vast sponge bound to be the …

Pino Per Diem – Happy Anniversary.

too bad, so sad

so sad, too bad

Yesterday, I was able to hedonistically imbibe a shot of my past, as I celebrated what is and was my 11th anniversary with my first love.  That day, I asked her to be my girlfriend; a small ripple that altered the continuum of my life, indelibly shaping the way I would become as a person you see today, in 2010.

I don’t really want to focus on the good, or bad of our relationship, the ups and downs of when I was in it.  Our time …

NEVER HAD – ORIGINAL POETRY WRITTEN BY RALPH FORNOLES 6/14/04

BEST I NEVER HAD

BEST I NEVER HAD

For me
Everything always seems to end
in abend
of course I didn’t intend
to just be your friend
F it, i’ll pretend
Talk shit like I own a Benz;
A mercedes
just for the ladies
Well, I don’t own it, it’s my Dad’s…
Do I really have it that bad?
They’ll drive you mad.
Something you want,
more than you ever had.…

Dearly Departed,
Let’s finish, why you never started.
Your beliefs, questions, unanswered.
We have our system of why’s
And why not?
It’s a plot
A coupe
To be at peace with the things we have no clue
When it turns back
When your nothing new
It confirms against what you knew
So what now?
Now that your dead and gone?
What would you say to those so far gone?
Don’t regret
Don’t forget
And then
Treat this like it’s heaven.
